Quick intro: who are you and what do you represent?
I’m Chiko Black from Broward County in South Florida. I represent growth, authenticity, and using real-life experiences to create meaningful music.
Where are you from and how did that shape your sound?
I’m from South Florida, a true melting pot of cultures, genres, and people. Growing up around that diversity had a huge impact on my sound and helped me develop a melodic style that reflects different influences and real environments.
When did you start making music and why?
I started making music at 11 years old. I needed an outlet to express myself artistically and music became that space for me.
What’s your newest release and what’s it about?
My newest release is “How It Goes,” set to drop at the top of the first quarter of 2026. The song is about what’s going on inside my community and the realities we experience every day.
What’s your creative process like?
I usually find a melody first. Once the melody is there, the words come naturally.
What’s one thing fans misunderstand about you?
People often misunderstand my maturity level.
Best accomplishment so far?
Landing a song placement in GTA 6.
Your goals for the next 12 months?
My goal is to become a household name.

What made you pursue music seriously?
It was always embedded in me it was just a matter of God’s timing. Now is the timing.
How would you describe your style and sound?
Very melodic.
What inspired your sound / biggest influences?
Growing up in South Florida inspired my sound. My biggest influences include Dino Delvaille, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, T-Pain, Kodak Black, Lil Wayne, and Drake.
What are the main themes in your music?
Connection and communication.
What separates you from other artists in your lane?
My sound.

My latest release is “Oh Yeah.” It’s about staying focused on my vision and locking in on where I’m headed.
