AjaxKid’s journey didn’t start behind turntables—it began with a guitar in hand, fronting the rock trio The Ambulance as lead vocalist and guitarist for a decade. Armed with a multi-instrumentalist background and training in audio production at SAE Institute of Technology, he’s not just another DJ in a crowded field. He’s a storyteller, crafting his beats from scratch using real instruments and live MPC performance—a rarity in a loop-dominated EDM world.
“I’m about authenticity,” AjaxKid explains. “When people hear my music, I want them to feel the raw energy that comes from real instruments and a live touch.”
The Trojan Helmet: An Iconic Edge
Ever seen a DJ rocking a Trojan helmet? That’s AjaxKid. What started as a fun prop at a toga party DJ gig turned into a signature look. “It was random, but the crowd loved it,” he recalls. Today, his LED-lit helmet is as much a part of his brand as his sound—though he admits it’s not always the most comfortable accessory. “Sometimes I wish I hadn’t started, but the energy it brings to performances is worth it.”
78min: A Pulse-Pounding Experience
AjaxKid’s latest album, 78min, is a love letter to dance music in all its forms. Packed with EDM, tech house, progressive house, and melodic techno, it’s a high-octane ride from start to finish. It’s the perfect follow-up to his 2022 debut album, RaveHunter, which showcased his versatility with trip-hop and downtempo vibes.
“This album is for the festivals, the late-night parties, the moments where music connects us,” AjaxKid says. And with every track, he’s proving that EDM doesn’t have to sacrifice soul for rhythm.
Beyond the Decks
AjaxKid’s ambitions stretch far beyond the dancefloor. He dreams of global tours, playing at iconic festivals, and even composing scores for films. “I believe music can create unforgettable moments—whether it’s at a festival or in a movie theater.”
For now, he’s bringing the party to Los Angeles, where he’s performing and building his following. “I’m ready to collaborate, perform, and grow. The world’s my stage—I just need the right team to help me take it.”
