We had the opportunity to sit down with Marvy, a burgeoning talent from Queens, NY, who is making waves in the music production world. With the recent release of his debut single “Luv Hurtz,” featuring Superstar Rah and Pell the Don, Marvy is poised to become a significant force in the industry. In this interview, Marvy opens up about his journey, inspirations, and future aspirations.
Q: What is your name and what city do you rep?
Marvy: Queens, NY
Q: What’s your most memorable moment of this year 2024 so far?
Marvy: Fulfilling the promise I made to myself by releasing my first single.
Q: What’s the meaning behind your latest track and its title?
Marvy: “Luv Hurtz” was named after the song it was sampled over, with an obvious different spelling. The main goal of the song was to signify that even though you can talk about something as dreadful as love hurting you sometimes, you can’t let it shake you. You still lit.
Q: Any upcoming projects that you can speak on?
Marvy: There is a project coming. Can’t give too many details. This single is the first step in that direction, though.
Q: What goals would you like to accomplish in the coming year?
Marvy: Main music goals this year include putting together a good enough amount of quality songs to choose for the upcoming project. Also, I’d like to help blow up at least one relatively unknown artist.
Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would that be?
Marvy: One artist I’d like to work with is Doja Cat. I think she’s the most talented female artist in the game.
Q: At the end of the day, all artists have something that drives them. What’s your daily motivation?
Marvy: To simply be better than yesterday.
Q: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
Marvy: I remember one time, I started making a beat at 10:13 pm one night. I was so into it, by the time I looked up at the clock it was 4:35 am in the morning. I never experienced time moving that fast. At that very moment, I realized, yeah…this is what I need to be doing.
Q: Any last words for the readers?
Marvy: Keep your third eye open ️️
