Australian artist Samskara Rad is returning with a fresh new single ‘Walk Te’Jo’. From the moment the track begins, reversed bells and mighty bass hits set the scene for high-octane hip-hop. As rattly trap drums fill the air, Samskara’s nimble flows command attention, whilst his ad-libs add layers of intensity. ‘Walk Te’Jo’ is dynamic, boasting clean production and a sleek, confident delivery filled with a fierce personality.
The artist shares a comment, “I wrote WALK TE’JO fairly quickly. The beat resonated with me and the characters rolled off my tongue. As I still have the rebel within, every now and again I need to let it loose. I think music allows everyone to invest in their own vibe. There is no right or wrong in anything.”
Behind the moniker of Samskara Rad is Simon Marrocco, whose initial presence in the music industry came as part of progressive punk band The Mood, who were signed in Melbourne in the 1980s. After the band’s end in 1985, Simon became a yoga teacher and opened one of the biggest yoga schools in Australia, St.Kilda Yoga School.
Returning to his passion after 25 years, Simon transformed his writing with new influences, new sounds and new production, he reignited his love for music and emerged as Samskara Rad.
