“I Just Might” has returned to No. 1 with a 32nd week on top, moving Bruno Mars past the chart’s previous longevity benchmark.

Bruno Mars has turned the latest rebound for “I Just Might” into a record. On Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart dated October 24, 2026, the single reaches 32 weeks at No. 1, the longest total since the ranking’s comprehensive chart history began in October 1958.

The achievement moves it beyond “Luther,” the Kendrick Lamar and SZA collaboration that accumulated 31 weeks at the summit. As Billboard reports, Mars returns after Drake and Don Toliver’s “Solar Eclipse” interrupted his run on the October 17 chart.

The record-setting week reflects activity across three different measures. During October 9–15, “I Just Might” generated 5.03 million official U.S. streams, 51.9 million radio audience impressions and 1,000 sales, according to Luminate figures reported by Billboard.

Its opening chapter was also a career first: the song entered the Hot 100 at No. 1 in January, becoming Mars’ tenth leader on that separate chart and his first to debut at the summit. That immediate arrival and the latest longevity mark describe different stages of the same single’s run.

Released January 9 through Atlantic Records, the track introduced The Romantic, Mars’ fourth solo album. The official music video, directed by Mars and Daniel Ramos, accompanied the single and remains the visual attached to the song now setting the record.

The wider album campaign also brought The Romantic Tour, his first full stadium outing. With Anderson .Paak performing as DJ Pee .Wee and select dates featuring Leon Thomas, Victoria Monét or RAYE, that rollout placed the new music within a much larger live production, while “I Just Might” continued its own extended chart life.
