223 Pyro: A Voice Still Echoing Beyond the Tragedy

For 223 Pyro, music started long before studios, streams, or recognition. As a child, he was already writing raps, turning everyday moments into rhythm and emotion before most kids even knew what songwriting was. What began with recording music alongside his best friend outside the house eventually grew into makeshift home studios and bigger creative ambitions. The setup was never perfect, but the passion behind it always was.

His sound evolved alongside him. Early music leaned into harder street inspired rap, but over time his style started shifting toward something more melodic and atmospheric. He was discovering his own lane, balancing raw honesty with a smoother, more reflective energy that hinted at where his artistry was headed next.

Like many independent artists, Pyro faced constant obstacles trying to get his music heard. Promotion, studio costs, and industry visibility were all uphill battles. Alongside collaborator OMV West, he worked relentlessly to put himself in front of the right people, sharing his music anywhere he could. Even while working as a restaurant server, he played tracks for customers, networked constantly, and treated every interaction like an opportunity.

One of his proudest memories came during a trip to Miami, where he filmed a music video surrounded by family during his brother’s bachelor party weekend. Moments like that reminded him the dream was becoming real. Every song carried personal meaning, and every release reflected someone determined to keep growing.

In August 2021, 223 Pyro’s life was tragically cut short after an altercation involving security guards. He was only beginning to build momentum as an artist. But while his story ended far too soon, the music did not. His family continues working to preserve his voice, his ambition, and the future he was fighting to create.

223 Pyro may no longer be here to tell his story himself, but through the music, the hunger, and the memories he left behind, his voice still refuses to fade.
