The visual eventually takes a violent turn when Pepper stops accepting the executives’ judgment. Grande fires up a chainsaw and attacks the men, covering the room in blood as the other women waiting to audition celebrate her decision to fight back. The ending adds another uncomfortable layer to the story. After Pepper’s brutal retaliation, a fictional director suddenly recognizes her value and welcomes her as a star.
