For the members of Blends…, music has always been part of the story. One band member still vividly remembers receiving two records as a child: Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.” Those songs delivered two very different kinds of energy, one built for massive crowds and the other fueled by raw power. Together, they helped spark a lifelong fascination with music and planted the seeds for what would eventually become Blends….
The band’s name reflects its creative philosophy. Rather than drawing from a single genre or era, Blends… embraces a wide range of influences spanning decades of music. Listeners have picked up traces of artists like Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and The Cure, but the band is not interested in recreating the past. Instead, they bring those influences together to create something that feels familiar while still carving out its own identity.
That approach extends to the band’s songwriting process. Every member brings different tastes, experiences, and ideas into the room, creating a sound shaped by collaboration rather than limitation. The result is music that moves comfortably between textures, moods, and styles while remaining grounded in strong songwriting.

Like many independent bands, one of their biggest challenges has been finding time to create. Busy schedules and everyday responsibilities can easily compete with artistic ambitions. Yet despite those obstacles, the group has continued to push forward. One of their proudest achievements so far has been completing and releasing their first single, transforming a shared vision into something listeners could finally experience.
Beyond the studio, Blends… values the personal side of music. Live performances and face to face interactions remain some of the most meaningful parts of the journey. Their philosophy is refreshingly simple: play more, focus on writing great songs, and enjoy the process. It is a mindset that keeps the excitement of making music at the center of everything they do.
With several new songs nearing completion and recording sessions planned with Trent Bell this August, the band is building momentum for the next chapter. More live performances are scheduled, and their sights are set on reaching wider audiences through touring and new releases. For a band built on blending influences from across generations, the future is proving to be their most exciting composition yet.
