Daniel Grace Unveils Heart-Wrenching Single "Hearing You Call" from Upcoming EP "Life"

Daniel Grace, a rising star in the UK hip-hop scene, drops his deeply personal single Hearing You Call, a soul-stirring tribute to his late girlfriend, Chloe, who tragically took her own life. This soulful track, infused with raw emotion is the lead single from his forthcoming five-track EP, Life, set to resonate with anyone who has faced loss and found strength in memory.

Hearing You Call blends hip-hop’s gritty pulse with a haunting guitar backdrop crafted by Mick Williams, a collaborator from Grace’s university days at SAE. The track’s inception came during late-night creative sessions with Anthony Russell in a humble bedroom studio, where the duo penned the chorus and bridge, pouring their hearts into lyrics that capture the ache of absence. Seeking to elevate the track’s emotional depth, Grace reached out to one of Chloe’s favorite rappers, K Koke, whose hard-hitting bars, starting with the poignant “Yo Chlo,” struck a profound chord. K Koke’sverses, recorded in London with engineer Benji, weave a narrative that mirrors Grace’s grief, creating a seamless connection between the artists.

The track’s organic sound, recorded in a self-built studio on Paul Street, Liverpool, channels the rawness of loss. Grace, as audio producer, meticulously crafted a soundscape that feels intimate, aiming to offer solace to listeners navigating their own pain. The accompanying music video, directed by Ged Roberts, transforms the song’s story into a cinematic Blue Story-style narrative. Filmed in a Shrewsbury jail with a meticulously storyboarded vision, the video delivers movie-level quality, immersing viewers in a tale of love, loss, and redemption.

Hearing You Call is the cornerstone of the Life EP, which explores the highs and lows of real-world experiences through tracks like Pressure, Choices, Redemption, and Street Life. Featuring collaborations with artists like Potter Payper, the EP promises a cohesive storytelling journey that transcends genres. Grace’s vision is clear: to create music that endures, rooted in authenticity and emotional truth.

Daniel Grace’s “Hearing You Call” is a strikingly powerful release that showcases not only his lyrical honesty but also his ability to craft music that truly connects with the human spirit. The track radiates authenticity, drawing listeners into an emotional journey that balances vulnerability with strength. Grace’s delivery is both heartfelt and commanding, while the haunting production underscores the weight of his message without overpowering it. What makes this single stand out is its seamless blend of personal storytelling with universal resonance—transforming private pain into a shared experience of healing and remembrance. With this release, Grace proves himself to be more than an emerging artist; he’s a storyteller with a rare gift for turning life’s hardest truths into timeless art.

A Liverpool native, Daniel Grace has carved a unique path in music. From DJing across Europe to earning a degree in audio production at SAE, he’s honed a signature sound that blends technical precision with heartfelt storytelling. His collaborative spirit and commitment to crafting meaningful art have positioned him as a voice to watch in the UK’s hip-hop landscape.
