The lights dim, the first notes echo, and suddenly, you’re somewhere else. That’s the magic of Silver Relics—the neo-psych-rock project led by Alex Sepassi that blends the haunting allure of classic rock with a modern, cinematic pulse. This isn’t just music; it’s an experience, an invitation to step into a world where past and future collide in sound.
“I grew up on The Beatles, The Stones, Pink Floyd—those were my teachers,” Sepassi says. “But then I found The Cure, Depeche Mode, Slowdive. That fusion of melody and mood, of raw energy and atmosphere—that’s where Silver Relics lives.”
What started as an art project quickly became a calling. The 2019 release of Generic. was a turning point, a proof of concept that Silver Relics had something distinct to offer. It wasn’t long before the project attracted the attention of industry legends like Mark Crozer (The Jesus and Mary Chain) and Brian Young (Fountains of Wayne), whose collaborations helped shape its evolving sound.
Still, for Sepassi, the biggest challenge has always been staying true to the vision. “It’s tempting to follow trends, but the music that lasts—the music that means something—comes from instinct. I write what I want to hear.” And clearly, others want to hear it too. A tour across Ireland and the UK cemented Silver Relics’ ability to captivate audiences, turning live performances into immersive sonic journeys.
Now, the next phase begins. With the release of Rotten on February 28 and a new full-length album arriving next fall under A Diamond Heart Productions, Silver Relics is pushing further—edgier, rawer, but still unmistakably immersive. “We were in this beautiful studio in LA, working with Shane Soloski, and I had this moment—this is it. This is the sound I stand by.”
And yet, even that could evolve. Because Silver Relics isn’t about repeating the past—it’s about reshaping it. Every note, every show, every release is a step into something new, an experience designed to transport you. So step in, and let the music take you somewhere unexpected.
