Phoenix-based rapper Lil Christy is on a mission to get how he truly feels out to the world. His most recent effort, a six-song project titled “Playing With Emotions” sums up his creative foundation, current mind state and future projection perfectly.
“I felt that these six songs really showed my progression over the years and I felt very inspired with this genre-blended album,” Lil Christy said. “I felt like this album really showed me who I was, how I got here and where my success has taken me.”
And while many artists seek sonic inspiration from artists who have made it big time, that’s not the case with Lil Christy.
“My biggest influences are the artists and producers around me,” he explained. “I’d also say my family and friends because they are my biggest supporters but also influence me to keep making and doing more with my music.”
The “small album,” as Lil Christy calls it, was entirely engineered by the man himself, showing that his skills extend beyond arranging and songwriting.
As for future plans, all of Lil Christy’s incredible skills will continue to be honed and more content will continue to be pumped out.
“I’m working this year to really put myself out there in hopes of making an amazing fanbase and potentially travel the world to perform my music for the first time,” he said.
