Julia Krasinski isn’t hiding behind an alias or a persona. Her artist name is simply her own. What you see is what you get. Born in a small town called Freeland, Michigan, Julia grew up with music as her lifeline. Long before she started recording her own songs, she was a little kid in East Tawas, headbanging in her cousin André’s room while Black Veil Brides blasted through the speakers and Call of Duty raged on the Xbox. Those nights shaped her, gave her an edge, and made her realize that music wasn’t just sound, it was identity.
Her first taste of the stage came in seventh grade, when she performed “In The End” by Black Veil Brides at her school talent show. That moment lit a fire, but the aftermath wasn’t easy. Classmates tried to cut her down with bullying, calling her the “weirdo who sang in the talent show.” Julia’s response was as fearless then as it is now: “fuck yea I am.” That defiance is the same attitude she carries into her music today, bold, unshaken, and ready to shut down anyone who doubts her.
Julia officially started writing and recording her own songs about a year and a half ago, and the turning point came after breaking free from an abusive relationship. Instead of letting the pain break her, she turned it into fuel. Her debut single Bastard, released in May 2025, is a middle finger to her past and a declaration of strength. It’s not a song about hate, but about reclaiming power and refusing to be silenced. The response has been overwhelming, with listeners resonating with her raw honesty and heavy delivery.
Her sound lives somewhere between alternative rock, hard rock, and heavy metal, pulling from a lineup of influences as unapologetic as she is: Black Veil Brides, Lilith Czar, Chandler Leighton, Nessa Barrett, Huddy, MGK, YungBlud, jxdn, Leah Kate, and Caroline Carr. Julia doesn’t play an instrument yet, but her voice is her weapon, fierce, unrelenting, and dripping with grit. She’s training it to cut sharper and heavier, pushing herself closer toward the world of heavy metal.
The most memorable moment of her career so far has been creating Bastard. It was her first step into turning pain into power, and it set the stage for everything that comes next. Julia knows she’s still sharpening her craft, but she’s unapologetic about the grind and the imperfections that come with it. Her journey isn’t about being polished, it’s about being real.
