Savannah’s Music Scene Is Booming—Or Should We Say Blooming!
When you think of Savannah, Georgia, names like Big Boi of OutKast, Camouflage, Flau’jae, Quando Rondo, Duwop Kaine, and Clay James probably come to mind. But the city’s music scene is way bigger than that. Beneath the surface, new artists are shaking things up—many of them lighting up the internet.
If you ask AI, you’ll get the same familiar names. But if you dig deeper, you’ll find rising stars like Young Damon, Doogie Da Bakerman, Ghoo The Inspiration, Clay Hodges, Top Boy Mari, Emma Grainger, and EmoniWeed. Savannah is becoming a music destination, packed with studios, venues, and platforms designed to help artists thrive.
Savannah’s Music Scene Is Built to Grow
From the Wormhole, where local artists perform in a welcoming, family-like atmosphere, to the high-energy Gospel Brunch at District, produced by Delandrian Aikens of Digistar Entertainment, Savannah has plenty of spaces for talent to shine.
Then, there are the power players behind the movement. No Loss Entertainment, led by LaScrilla, is growing fast across the Southeast. And Baghead Music Distribution, led by Quincy “Frequency” Baghead Factz Seymore, is helping artists break through. Though based in Savannah, Baghead’s influence stretches from Australia to Sacramento and Delaware, distributing Ghoo The Inspiration, GetMoeTempFade, GuttaSmoove, StressLyfe, MiaMoney, Skorch, RedMazzi, LiveKarmaLife, and more.
Baghead isn’t just about distribution—it’s a place for artists to turn when they feel stuck. Frequency, a former Sony Red A&R, is all about giving artists the resources they need to grow, even those who aren’t signed with him. And despite undergoing spinal surgery, he showed up to an interview just days later—proof of his dedication.
When asked what drives Baghead Music, he didn’t name himself—he credited Shala “First Lady” Holmes of Coalition DJs, Deonte Brown of Ensophoria Studios, and DiamondXHayee, who he says helped fuel Baghead’s rapid growth this year.
DiamondXHayee is taking over Atlanta, not Savannah, earning her place as the next Deb Antney, discovering new talent and helping them break into the industry.
Savannah’s New Music Commission
Savannah’s music scene just got a major push with the Savannah Music Commission, spearheaded by State Representative Carl Gilliard. House Bill 762, signed by Governor Brian Kemp, established a nine-member commission dedicated to growing Savannah’s music industry.
This commission will organize festivals, promote music education, attract record labels, and drive economic growth—making Savannah a true music powerhouse.
It’s no surprise icons like Boosie call Savannah their second home. With leaders like Carl Gilliard, Baghead Music, and No Loss Entertainment paving the way, Savannah’s music scene isn’t just growing—it’s unstoppable!
