Steadily pulling together the pieces of her forthcoming debut EP, Amelia unveils ‘Burn’, the Liverpool rising star delivering an intensifying ode to all-consuming desire. It follows on from the previous single ‘Love You Better’, hailed by Earmilk, and a continued refining of Amelia’s heart-driven sound.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Liverpool-based rising pop star Amelia returns with her second single of the year, ‘Burn’. The follow-up to teaser single ‘Love You Better’, the track is to be featured on Amelia’s forthcoming debut EP.
‘Burn’ brings together emotive, swelling synths, reverberating drums and powerful vocal performances. It rises from the ashes of soft, reserved vocals into vast choruses, filled with pop infectiousness. Amelia’s voice is gorgeously layered, but stands strong alone when necessary, while her lyricism is skilled in captivating the audience with a love-drenched narrative.
“Burn is how it feels to be on the precipice of falling in love,” Amelia explains. “For me, the infatuation and desire that comes with a new relationship is akin to flame – not a slow burn but something that consumes you”.
Hailing from Liverpool, United Kingdom, Amelia is a singer-songwriter with a natural charm for pop perfection. Debuting in 2022 with the single ‘All In’, she has grown from strength to strength, building up a colourful discography. Inspired by the likes of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, Amelia laces her sound with authentic storytelling and sticky melodies to craft a unique sound. Looking forward to 2025, she is set to unleash her debut EP.
