Dyn Young was ready to release an EP last summer, but it didn’t happen. What could have been a setback became a catalyst. During that pause, his sound shifted. Inspiration struck in unexpected ways, and what had been conventional R&B began evolving into something experimental. The result is “Silently (Slowly)”, a track that started as a winter revision project and grew into the lead single for a completely reimagined body of work. Listen here:
The track occupies an intriguing space between genres. Trip-hop drum kits form the backbone, layered with samples of elevator-music-style jazz that creep in around the first verse. By the end, the electronic R&B textures give way to smooth jazz with live-feel drums and string-like bass. It’s almost like two songs in one—a journey that moves the listener through contrast and cohesion simultaneously.
For Dyn, this release is the first domino in a year dedicated to showcasing versatility. His upcoming EP, Enigma, drops in June and continues this experimental R&B thread. Meanwhile, a pop/electronic project inspired by Ayesha Erotica is already underway, with Spin Another Record, teased on Twitter, offering a glimpse at what’s next. The aim for 2026 isn’t virality—it’s building a diverse catalog that reflects both risk and identity.

Creating “Silently (Slowly)” was a test of confidence. Working entirely with virtual samples, Dyn handled mixing and mastering independently, nervous about whether it would feel natural without live instruments. Previously, tracks like Bad Apple, produced with Mickey Shiloh and polished by Shawn “Source” Jarrett, benefited from external hands. Doing it solo was a risk, but the song proved that Dyn’s vision could translate entirely on his own.
The track lives in a sweet spot where genres blur. It works for chill R&B playlists, but also appeals to lo-fi and cyber-jazz audiences. That flexibility is exactly what Dyn is chasing: music that moves between worlds without losing identity. Each play is meant to be an intimate experience—late-night reflections, personal atmospheres, or just the soundtrack to a moment.
The year ahead is ambitious. The Enigma EP launches in June, followed by Spin Another Record, plus underground releases on a redesigned website. Dyn Young aims to build a catalog spanning sounds and styles, proving that the pause last summer wasn’t failure—it was incubation. The first domino has fallen, and the rest are lined up, ready to reshape the year.
