Azin: Turning Loss and Grit Into a Distinct Musical Voice

For Azin, music isn’t just a passion—it’s survival. Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Azin first started making music at 16, but everything changed in 2019 after hearing Jordan Solomon, whose work inspired him to rethink his whole creative process. “His music made me question how I was crafting my sound,” Azin says. That moment pushed him to experiment and dig deeper.

His job at Sweetwater Sound—one of the top music gear distributors in the world—became a launchpad. Using his earnings (and employee discounts), Azin slowly built a professional home studio. After spending countless hours in FL Studio 20 developing custom vocal presets, this eventually led him to a unique sound that stands out in projects like Aftermath and the recent Graveyard Shift.

What truly sets Azin apart, though, is his story. He served as a soldier in the U.S. Army and, in his twenties, lost both parents within two years. “Those experiences shaped my resilience and perspective,” he explains. Even when deployed overseas or living out of barracks, Azin refused to let circumstances put his music on hold—lugging equipment to hotel rooms and storage units just to record. “That dedication is at the core of who I am as an artist.”

Azin’s lyrics and melodies reflect that journey. He points to the intro of “Diamond Hands” and the chorus of “Swerve Out” as highlights, along with the melodies and visuals from “Can’t Wake Up,” which he feels truly capture his sound.

Looking ahead, Azin is focused on consistent growth while making music that connects emotionally. “My goal is to build a loyal audience and release projects that matter,” he says. His latest album, Graveyard Shift, is a 14-track hip-hop/rap-trap project featuring Baby Yungin—original and cohesive from start to finish.

He’s already working on new music, including the single “Look at the Sun,” produced by Kyle Beats. “It blends the melodic feel of Post Malone’s ‘Sunflower’ with the emotion of Khalid’s ‘Better,’ and tells a powerful true story,” Azin reveals. He’s especially excited for the music video, which will bring the song’s story to life visually.

Azin’s journey is ongoing, and his catalog is growing. To follow his music and story, find him on YouTube, Instagram, and X. If you’re looking for an artist who’s earned his voice through real-life struggle and relentless commitment, Azin is one to watch.
