Young Bajé is an artist who lives and breathes music in every way. Born in West Philadelphia and raised on the beautiful island of Barbados, his background alone is a story of blending cultures and finding harmony in different worlds.
His journey into music began in 2022 when he was invited to a studio by one of his closest friends from college, JayLaTrey. Even though he always joked about being an artist, that first session opened his eyes to his natural talents. Recognizing intros, bridges, hooks, and tempos came easily to him, and he quickly realized he had discovered a new passion. Once he started making songs in as little as 30 minutes, he knew he had found something special.
Young Bajé’s music cannot be contained to one box. So far, he has created songs in hip hop, pop, R&B, Afro Beats, Soca, Dancehall, and even tried his hand at country. His versatility is a true reflection of the influences he has absorbed throughout his life. Back in school, he did not play any instruments, but he still found rhythm and energy in rap cyphers during lunch breaks. Those lunch tables were his first stages.
His list of musical influences is wide and colorful. Artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Chris Brown, Mavado, Stabby De Guard, and Juice Wrld have all played a part in inspiring him to step into the music world.
For Young Bajé, music goes far beyond streams and money. It is about the process and the feeling that comes from creating something real and personal. Recently, Young Bajé collaborated with Sibby Liv, a well known DJ, hopping on one of her riddims which blends Soca and Jersey Club together. The collaboration shows his ability to flow effortlessly across styles and fuse different cultures into something exciting and fresh. It also marks another step in his evolution as an artist who thrives on experimentation and unity through sound.
Young Bajé is not slowing down anytime soon. He has over 100 unreleased songs and is constantly working on new projects. His goal is to never run out of music, always staying ready to give his audience something they might need in their own lives.
