Born in Memphis but raised in Florida, Yamir is a multi-talented artist with a sound that refuses to be boxed in. He raps. He sings. He plays the violin, piano, guitar, harmonica, and even the saxophone. He’s not just a rapper, not just a musician—he’s an artist, driven by emotion, creativity, and a relentless passion to inspire.
“I create as I go,” Yamir says. “With my emotions, my passion. I don’t label myself—I just love having fun with music.”
His story is rooted in authenticity. Yamir’s journey is about staying true to yourself, loving who you are, and learning to connect with others along the way. It’s not about chasing the spotlight. It’s about creating something real—and if that happens to shine, then let it shine.
What pulled Yamir into music wasn’t fame or clout—it was the instruments. The raw beauty of the violin. The soul in a piano. The rhythm of a guitar. He names Chris Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson, 2Pac, Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Billie Eilish among his influences—but it’s the instruments that lit the fire. “Those are exquisite tools,” he says. “They made me fall in love with music.”
And now, he’s turning that love into action. His debut EP, Mixed Emotions, is scheduled to drop on March 28, 2025, and it’s exactly what it sounds like—a project that tells a story through every mood and melody. From rap to pop, R&B to country, it’s a genre-blending trip through Yamir’s heart and head. “It’s a story about how I feel, all the different types of feelings, and I hope I can connect with the world through it.”
But this isn’t just about music. It’s about purpose. Yamir’s dream isn’t just to become a star—though he’s aiming high. “If I do things right, I see myself becoming a musical genius,” he says. “One of my biggest dreams is to make music with Chris Brown. And I want to give back to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital—to let those kids know they’re special and never alone.”
He’s still early in his career, with no awards yet—but he’s not chasing trophies. He’s chasing growth. Yamir’s biggest challenge has been fighting procrastination. “I had to humble myself,” he says. “Less talking, more listening. I had to look in the mirror and make a change.” He credits patience and perseverance for getting him through, and now he’s locked in, focused, and ready to go.
His goal with this press isn’t just to promote his project—it’s to encourage people to get creative, to have fun, and to connect. That’s what Mixed Emotions is really about. And if Yamir has his way, this is just the beginning of something powerful.
