SMYRNA, Del. — Independent artist Trippn, born Jordan Morris and raised in Smyrna, Delaware, is making his mark in the music scene with raw talent, versatility and an unwavering love for music.
Trippn’s journey began with freestyles in his room, before a friend encouraged him to join a studio session in college. That first opportunity revealed a hidden gift and sparked a deeper passion for creating music. “I started like everybody else, but once I realized I had the talent to make good music, I just kept going,” he said.
Despite limited resources, Trippn has already achieved early success. His debut track earned more than 1,000 views without advertising, a milestone he considers a proud accomplishment. While he has received invitations to perform at shows, he remains focused on finishing his education before stepping fully into the spotlight.
For now, his biggest challenge is visibility. “I don’t have a big fan base or recognition yet, but I do it for the love of making music,” Trippn explained. Using only a low-input audio mic and BandLab, he’s impressed producers and peers with the quality of his work. With 500 to 600 unreleased songs recorded in just over a year, he has built a catalog that reflects his dedication and versatility.
Upcoming projects include “For a Minute Part 2” and his first album, Ones and Twos, a compilation of songs tied to his ongoing “part one/part two” creative series.
Looking ahead, Trippn sees his career not in terms of fame or fortune, but in connection with listeners. “I just want to go on stage and have fun with my fans. It’s not about getting paid—it’s about enjoying the moment,” he said. His dream is to take care of his family, give back to those who supported him, and inspire others through authenticity.
