The Awesome Crew is a quartet of musical artists hailing from Clinton, South Carolina, specializing in hip-hop that features a distinctive sound derived from a blend of rhythm and blues, classic rap, and trap music styles. Our music encapsulates the highs, lows, and the entire spectrum of human emotions.
The members of the group include: Daddy D, Smooth D, Nasty Nard (also known as Busy B), and Classy D (also referred to as Paradigm). Daddy D serves as the lead rapper and is a co-founder of the group alongside his partner Smooth D. Smooth D possesses a natural mezzo-soprano voice, complemented by a broad vocal range. He also surprises listeners with his ability to deliver hardcore rhymes.
Nasty Nard (Busy B) is the group’s x-factor, initially taking on the role of the human beatbox and occasionally contributing rhymes. His falsetto voice is remarkable, adapting seamlessly to various musical arrangements. Lastly, Classy D is both a rapper and a producer. He and Daddy D are recognized as the Twins of Spin, stemming from their early experiences as radio and club DJs. Together, they produce, arrange, and compose the group’s songs.
Originally, the group was named the Nasty so Classy Awesome Crew. The founders, Daddy D and Smooth D, along with Nasty Nard and Classy D, contributed to the addition of “nasty so classy,” leading to the eventual shortening of the name to The Awesome Crew.
