Throughout his career, one thing you have to admire about independent artist Dee Wile is his consistency. The Tampa native has stuck true to his 2021 underground hit “Stay Consistent” by delivering a minimum of 2 projects a year since 2018. He continues that streak with his Veteran’s Day release “So Far So Good Vol.2” However this body of work is slightly different, Dee’s new project is a mixtape of hazy “loosies” and B side tracks from albums released from the recent past. It showcases his precise delivery, sticky flows, and infectious hooks, but comes with a fair amount of well-tread material.
“Releasing this series allows my Day 1 cousins the chance to listen to sporadically dropped tracks that they have missed when it first released. As well as give new fans the chance to catch up with previously released favorites that I thought deserved a second listen.” said Wile when we caught up with him. It comes as a follow up to 2021’s prior release and serves as an accessible time capsule, a concise document of his growth as a musician and a primary source for his signature weed-laced bars. The 10-track album serves as the perfect playlist to listen to as you’re headed to your local dispensary. Be sure to listen and find out who he’s passing his blunts to and drops game on what to do and what not to do if you want keep your pockets full.
