Step into the cinematic world of “One Of A Kind”, a gripping secret agent story brought to life by pop-rap innovator Star2 and Thai superstar SPRITE.The music video follows SPRITE and Star2 as they take on the roles of stealthy operatives hired by a rich businessman to free his kidnapped daughter from shadowy captors. Dressed in tactical ninja attire that fuses street style with spycraft, they engage in a high stakes mission to track down their targets and bring the daughter to safety. Their daring escape unfolds on a longboat gliding through Bangkok’s iconic Chao Phraya River. SPRITE displays his rap talent and rapid-fire lyrics. Star2 complements him with his emotional delivery and trademark melodic style. Beyond the action packed visuals, their collaboration weaves a poignant narrative that reflects on shared struggles with poverty, early age responsibilities, and the challenges of rising to fame.
Star2, a fan of SPRITE, reached out to collaborate after releasing a single with Luh Kel called “I Wanna Get F’d Up” – coincidentally, SPRITE’s favorite artist since Luh Kel’s hit song “Wrong” – leading to an introduction and, as fate would have it, a collaboration in Thailand where the trio filmed “Where Would You Go?” (out on January 17, 2025), while Star2 and SPRITE also created “One of a Kind”.

Star2 was born in Mae La refugee camp in Thailand. His family walked to the Thai border after their village was burned to the ground with Burmese soldiers shooting and committing atrocities. He is Ka-ren, a persecuted minority from Myanmar (formerly Burma). There are nine refugee camps in Thailand with approximately 160,000 Ka-ren and a sizable Ka-ren population in Thailand itself (500,000). Thailand’s population is approximately 69 million. Star2 emigrated to California with his grandmother and her four children when he was five years old. There are approximately 100,000 Ka-ren refugees in the United States.
His collaborations with acclaimed artists include Soulja Boy, $tupid Young, Mozzy, MBNel, Luh Kel, Lil Poppa, HoodTrophy Bino, YSN Flow, and MarMar Oso to name a few. While not on tour, he documents his journey in the popular ‘Adventures of Star2’ series on YouTube. As an influential figure in Asian-American music, Star2 entwines heartfelt stories with captivating visuals, chronicling a tale of resilience and ascent. “Sprite” Sukkonlawat Pucsombat is a Thai rapper from Chachoengsao province signed to the label Hype Train, now part of Universal Music Group.
He first entered the entertainment industry when he appeared in the second season of Workpoint’s “SUPER 10” performing a Luk Thung genre song. He later appeared and won first runner up in the competition show “Show Me The Money Thailand Season 2.” This catapulted him into fame where he became a major figure in the Thai Hip-Hop scene. He debuted his first digital single “Ai Tao” (ไอ้ต้าว) on November 20, 2020 which has 67 million views on YouTube. He made Thai history when his song “Thon” (ทน) made it to 89 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and has over 340 million YouTube views. It also appeared on the Spotify daily viral chart in many countries across Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
His music is versatile and within both the hip-hop and trap genres. His songs and lyrics are deep and touch on challenging topics like politics and personal struggles and often serve as a vehicle for him to express his emotions. His fans respond to his honesty and his verses talking about the difficulties he has encountered in his young life and career. His most well-known songs include “XOXO,” “thn,” “KIMINOTO,” “W.R.U,” “Trust Again,” “bang’r,” “RUN THE TOWN,” “ai’taaw,” “ediiywdaay,” and “ekiiywphaaraasii.” Fans are inspired by his rapid-fire rap ability, word play, and technical prowess together with his emotional honesty and vulnerability. He is versatile and has collaborated with the key hip hop artists in Thailand.
In interviews, Sprite recalls working alongside his parents selling popcorn and rice cakes at flea markets and festivals at night and on weekends to help support his family. His greatest achievement was buying his parents a house and helping to support his younger brother. He often refers to his loneliness though as he discovered fame at a young age, dropped out of school, and is now surrounded by older people and a very full schedule with no time for friends.
