Meet Samer Doumit, a talented rapper hailing from the vibrant city of St. Louis, Missouri. Known by his stage name, Sameri, he has been making waves in the underground music scene with his unique blend of rap and alternative sounds. From freestyling over Lil Wayne and Eminem instrumentals at a young age to collaborating with major artists and touring across the West Coast, Sameri’s journey in the music industry is both inspiring and compelling.
The Early Days
Sameri’s love for music started early. He recalls playing Lil Wayne or Eminem instrumentals with his friends at the age of 10 and freestyling over them. What began as a fun activity quickly became a tradition and eventually an outlet for him to express his experiences and emotions. “I have lived a wild life so far,” Sameri shares, “and having a place to process it and share my stories and experiences to hopefully relate to or help fans through stuff is invaluable.”
Career Highlights
Sameri’s career has been marked by several notable achievements. He has toured extensively around Arizona and California, performing at various venues from Tucson to Los Angeles while collaborating with Beanland Records and The Gathering Music Group. These tours have not only broadened his audience but also provided him with valuable exposure and experience.
One of Sameri’s significant accomplishments is acquiring features with artists he has admired for years. Eazymac, an artist he has been listening to since 2017, is now featured on his top song on Spotify. This collaboration is a testament to Sameri’s growth and influence in the industry. Moreover, fans can look forward to even more exciting collaborations in the future, including a highly anticipated feature with Lil Wayne on his debut album, set to release in 2025.
Overcoming Challenges
The journey to success has not been without its challenges. Sameri candidly speaks about the difficulties he has faced, from balancing work, school, and music to overcoming addiction. “It’s a cruel, expensive world out there, and it’s hard to stay consistent with the music while also working a job and going to school,” he says. The music scene, while exhilarating, can also be a slippery slope, leading many artists to struggle with addiction. Sameri has been no exception, but his determination and resilience have seen him overcome these obstacles. “Through all of that, I’ve gotten a lot of inspiration and life experience, and it’s all good food for my creativity,” he reflects.
A Vision for the Future
Sameri’s aspirations for the future are clear and ambitious. He envisions himself as an independent artist, fully supported by his music. “I’ve been trying to be more creative with my sound. Mixing alternative instrumentals with rap, then singing on rap beats – I try to be unique and hopefully pave the way for a new alternative to hip hop,” he explains. The goal is to reach a point where he can quit his day job and dedicate himself entirely to his music and his fans. “It’s hard to work a 9-5 and also have time to create, along with life and other things. Once I’m self-supported enough off the music, I want to quit my job and make music full-time.”
Upcoming Releases and Promotions
Fans of Sameri have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. He is set to release a music video for his single “Trouble” in August, followed by an EP on August 23. Additionally, a music video for “Basket Case” will be dropping in September. These releases mark a significant step in Sameri’s career, showcasing his evolving sound and artistic vision.

Sameri wants the narrative of his journey to be that of an underground artist from St. Louis who is undiscovered yet deeply passionate about his craft. His music is not just about entertainment but also about encouragement and connection. He hopes to reach and help people through his music, whether by providing a moment of escape or offering solace and understanding through his lyrics.
