Portland Artist TONE Is Building A New Sound For The Alternative Community

The music scene in Portland has always been a hub for creativity and independence. Lately a fresh voice named TONE has been making waves by blending alternative pop with hip hop energy. Since starting this specific project in 2021 TONE has been on a mission to create something different. It is not just about the music for him.

He wants to build up the entire alternative community and give listeners a sound they have never heard before. While TONE is a relatively new name he is no stranger to the industry. He previously released albums under a different moniker but this current chapter feels like his most authentic self. So far he has released twelve singles that showcase his unique style. You can hear the influence of artists like Brakence and Ronen in his work but TONE adds a gritty local flavor that is all his own.

He does not rely on traditional instruments to get his point across. Instead he focuses on atmosphere and vocal delivery to pull the listener in. One of the biggest milestones in his career happened recently right in his hometown. TONE planned and managed the Ghost Tour Portland event which served as his first major foray into show management. It was a massive success by any standard.

The show saw a turnout of over one hundred people with forty tickets sold before the doors even opened. For an independent artist managing their own event those numbers are impressive. That night was about more than just the numbers though. TONE says that the Ghost Tour was his most memorable moment so far because of the connections he made.

He was able to meet fans in person and build friendships with the other artists on the lineup. This sense of community is exactly why he started making music in the first place. Looking ahead TONE has no plans of slowing down. He is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album that should be out in the next few months. He is also busy planning a twelve show tour across the West Coast.

That tour is scheduled to start in Phoenix and wrap up in Seattle by March 2027. He wants to keep upscaling his live shows by spending more on promotion and finding better venues to host his growing fanbase. Between the upcoming album and the tour TONE will continue to drop singles and perform live.

He is also focused on polishing the visual side of his brand to match the high quality of his music. If you are looking for an artist who cares as much about the scene as he does about the songs TONE is someone you need to watch. His journey from a local creator to a West Coast tour manager is just beginning.
