For the past four years, O’deriic has been locked in—writing, recording, and making music that actually means something. No rushing, no shortcuts, just pure dedication to his craft. And now, he’s finally ready to let people in on what he’s been building.
“I used to think I had to drop music just to stay relevant,” he says. “But I realized if I didn’t have a real plan, I was just throwing songs out there with no real impact.”
So, he took a step back, put in the work, and now he’s coming forward with a project that’s been worth the wait.
The Journey: From Choir to Crafting His Own Sound
Music has always been a part of O’deriic’s life. He started writing songs at 15, leading the adult choir in church by 16, and from that moment on, he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
“I never really had a backup plan,” he admits. “I just knew this was it for me.”
Since then, he’s been focused on finding his own sound—one that’s versatile, personal, and doesn’t try to fit into any box.
‘Worth The Wait – Inexorable’
Instead of dropping a full project all at once, O’deriic is taking a different approach. His new EP ‘Worth The Wait – Inexorable’ is rolling out one song at a time, every week for 90 days.
“I want people to actually sit with each song,” he explains. “Let it sink in, connect with it, and not just move on to the next thing right away.”
It’s a project that reflects his journey—about sticking with what you love, even when it takes time.
A Moment to Remember
One of the biggest highlights of O’deriic’s career so far? Winning first place at the After Breast Cancer Gala, where he performed in front of Matthew Knowles (yes, Beyoncé’s father).
“It wasn’t just about winning,” he says. “It was the fact that I got to share my music with people in a way that felt meaningful.”
For the Real Music Fans
O’deriic’s music is for people who appreciate honest songwriting, smooth vocals, and music that actually makes you feel something. If you’re into R&B, indie vibes, and artists who take their time to get it right, you’ll want to keep up with him.
