After decades behind the scenes shaping the sound of artists like Tori Kelly, Santana, and Becky G, Michael Mani is finally taking center stage—with nothing but his keyboards and a deep well of experience as his guide. His debut solo project, Triangles, isn’t just an album—it’s a personal revelation, a long-awaited leap into the spotlight for one of music’s quiet powerhouses.

Mani’s journey started in the Bay Area as a keyboardist and producer, eventually partnering with legendary hitmaker Narada Michael Walden. From working with Lady GaGa, Al Jarreau and the Backstreet Boys to discovering Tori Kelly to producing Grammy-winning tracks with Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton, Mani built a career many would envy. But with Triangles, he’s doing something entirely new—telling his own story without words, letting the grooves, melodies, and chord progressions do all the talking.

“I grew up playing everything—rock, hip-hop, jazz, classical. I’m a chameleon,” Mani says. That eclecticism pulses through Triangles, which fuses pop, R&B, jazz, and funk into an instrumental experience that feels more like a curated playlist than a traditional album. The sound is lush, vibrant, and unmistakably personal. “How the rhythmic groove elements work with the chords and melodies… I just wanted the overall vibe to be very uplifting,” he adds.

The single “Triangles”—also the title track of the album—has already broken into the top 20 in the Billboard charts and is a bold introduction to Mani’s signature blend. It’s smooth and cinematic, layering soulful keys over a tight rhythmic bed. For Mani, it represents a creative rebirth. “This is my first endeavor as a solo artist making instrumental music,” he says. “I’m very excited for the world to hear it.”

His proudest career moment may still be that surreal when he got the call to work with Santana and Eric Clapton which turned out to be the Supernatural AlbuM! But now, as he assembles a live band and prepares to tour, Mani is stepping into a new chapter—one where the spotlight is fully his. “Creativity comes from God, our Creator,” he says. “What could be better than to lean into that spiritual energy.”

Triangles the album drops May 9, and with it, Michael Mani reintroduces himself—not just as a hitmaker, but as an artist in his own right. Keep an eye out cause with a top 10 hit in the works, the best is yet to come!
