So, who is Zanyyxx?
“I’m Zanyyxx, and I’m from the Bronx,” she says, no hesitation. There’s a pride in her voice, the kind only someone raised by the borough’s energy can really understand.
What got her into music?
Like a lot of kids in the 2000s, Zanyyxx grew up glued to MTV. “I would watch music videos and see creators like Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Rihanna ,Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj. Seeing them made me want to express myself in a similar way—to say what I feel, dance how I want. I instantly knew which lane I belonged in as soon as I started creating—writing, singing, dancing, all of it,” she says.
What makes Zanyyxx different?
“That’s easy—it’s my mindset. It’s the love I have for the craft. The way I feel when I create—my music isn’t just a product, it’s a feeling,” she explains. And you can hear that in her work, every lyric and beat soaked in intention.
Her favorite lyric?
“I’d probably say when I made ‘Bronx Swine.’ That whole song is a play on words. Being a Bronx native myself, there was a dance called the Bronx Wine that you’d do with a guy, but let’s be real—the Bronx’s dating pool isn’t the best, which plays on the word ‘Bronx swine.’” She laughs, and you can tell she means every word.
What’s next for Zanyyxx?
“Multiple Grammys,” she says without missing a beat, “and hopefully getting to write and collab with my favorite artists.” Ambition isn’t something she lacks.
What’s she promoting? When can you hear more?
Her latest single, “Alien savage ,” dropped at the beginning of the year, right after she gave us an unforgettable EP “ Fairly odd fairly ode “ that dropped summer of 2025 There’s more coming,” she promises.
