Alontae Crisler-Robinson, better known by his artist name Lontae Lit, didn’t set out to be a rapper. In a way, music found him long before he ever picked up a pen. Growing up, Lontae spent his earliest years riding in the backseat of his mom’s car, soaking up everything from Big Tymers to Jay Z. At four or five, he didn’t know it yet, but those drives planted the seeds for what would become a lifelong connection to music.
“I’ve always liked music since I was an infant,” he says. “But I never really knew I wanted to rap. I think it just kind of found me, honestly. I’ve been listening to music my whole life, and eventually it just clicked.”
What sets Lontae Lit apart isn’t just his sound, but his mission. In a genre crowded with trends and fleeting moments, he’s aiming to bring something more real—and more positive—to the table. “I’m trying to bring a more real, but different influence,” he explains. “Positive energy, while also being a melodic trap artist.” It’s a balance he’s been fine-tuning, blending his natural ear for melody with the rawness and edge of trap.
Lately, Lontae’s been opening himself up to new sounds, too. Early 2000s rock, pop, and hip hop have all found their way into his playlists, shaping a style that refuses to be boxed in. “I’m just trying to keep my ears open,” he says, “and let that influence come through in what I make.”
One of his favorite lyrics comes from his track “First Week Out,” where he raps:
“Fuck wit Lit nem in this bitch! And it’s gone be a real party! It’s niggas in the field clowning.”
It’s the kind of line that captures his spirit—confident, bold, and ready to turn any room into a party.
But for Lontae Lit, music is more than just a vibe. It’s a path to something bigger. “I plan on achieving being a star. Stardom,” he says without hesitation. “Growing my brand, growing myself, and helping out my family and friends.”
Lontae Lit’s story is just getting started, but if there’s one thing he’s proven, it’s that he’s here to bring real energy—and he’s not afraid to do things his own way.
