M-Hunt, known for his ability to blend street and suburban lyricism, returns with a powerful new single, “Mr. Millimeter,”marking one of the most unexpected releases of his career. Just a month and ten days after his last project “You Wouldn’t Understand,” M-Hunt surprises fans with this bold collaboration featuring Harlem legend Smoke DZA and New Orleans rapper and producer Ferris Blusa. The track is amplified by its nostalgic sample of the 1995 West Coast classic “Born 2 Die” by Spice 1, adding a gritty yet timeless edge to the record.
“Mr. Millimeter“ showcases M-Hunt’s ability to merge lyrical dexterity with thematic storytelling, drawing on street culture while maintaining his suburban roots. M-Hunt explained his artistic process, stating, “I don’t promote violence, but I will rap about it.” The song explores his rap persona in a way that steps outside the boundaries of his real life, offering a complex narrative that both fans of street rap and lyricism can appreciate.
Reflecting on the origins of the track, M-Hunt shared, “I heard the beat years ago. This song was done years ago, except for my new verse. Back then, I was still gimmicky, rapping about things that definitely don’t concern me. Yet, it’s just that—it’s rap, it’s music, it’s art. I don’t condone that behavior, but I’m a lyricist, and if it fits the song, it fits.” His lyrics are raw and unapologetic, encapsulating the essence of hip-hop as both an art form and a platform for expression.
With guest verses from Smoke DZA and Ferris Blusa, “Mr. Millimeter“ adds layers of depth and diversity, appealing to hip-hop enthusiasts across generations. The track is grounded in deep-rooted hip-hop history while remaining relevant to contemporary music landscapes.
