Lowly Light is back with his first brand new single of 2023, entitled ‘Cosmic Hearts’ and set for release on the 28th of July. The track features an eclectic mix of synths, from the gritty vocoder paired with a sweet guitar riff, the mellow keys and glittery pad, they all layer together. A pumping four-to-the-floor drum pattern is also present, stereotypical for nu-disco alongside the effortlessly groovy bass line. We hear the gentle chimes of a mark tree used throughout, alongside risers, to transition us from section to section. The vocals from C. Jolene Melton soulfully cry out over the top of this energetic track, with a catchy melody and commanding performance.
On the new release, Lowly Light shares:
“Cosmic Hearts is about longing for someone’s awareness and love. Visualizing oneself as a singular object in space, pulling in the attention of another in your direction. Imagining the desired future situation.
I was inspired by the visual idea that I had of pulsating hearts moving through space, like dual comets orbiting each other as they fly through space.”
