Hailing from Boise, Idaho, Laurance is a rising musical force redefining what it means to be a modern artist. The trio — founded by Laurance (Brian) and Eli, and now consisting of Laurance and Philly Chee while Eli takes a hiatus — thrives on breaking barriers between genres, weaving together threads of Hip-Hop, Pop, Funk, and Electronic Musicinto a sound that’s both raw and refreshingly new.

From Pop Punk to Purpose

For Laurance, music has always been more than sound — it’s been a calling.
“I’ve been a singer my whole life,” he shares. “My dad had the raw talent, and my mom was always singing around the house. Music was just a part of our DNA.”

Growing up, Laurance honed his skills early — from singing in the Idaho State University children’s choir and taking piano lessons to fronting a pop punk band in high school and performing the national anthem at basketball games. But music took a back seat for a while, as he pursued college baseball.

“When my athletic career ended, I realized music had always been there waiting for me,” he reflects. “It took rediscovering who I was to realize what I was truly called to do.”

Authenticity at the Core

Laurance’s sound is built on authenticity. The group prides itself on genuine connection, transparent storytelling, and fearless experimentation.
“We’re obsessed with bridging genre gaps,” says Laurance. “We don’t want to limit our creative output. Whatever we’re feeling — that’s what we make.”

That mindset has led to songs that don’t just entertain, but resonate. Their tracks are known for their tight production, catchy hooks, and an infectious energy that shines especially in their live performances.

Lyrical Nostalgia and Emotional Depth

Laurance’s lyrics often strike a balance between nostalgia and introspection. One standout? A clever nod to Lizzie McGuire in their song “Foxy Mama.”
“It brings a sense of nostalgia that fits perfectly with the metaphorical tone of the track,” Laurance says. “But the next two singles have some of my favorite lyrics yet — catchy but thought-provoking.”

What’s Next: New Music, New Emotions

The duo is gearing up for a strong finish to the year with two highly anticipated singles.
Next month, they’ll release “How to Breathe” featuring Jerm — a “beautiful and emotional song that brings a sense of introspection and community.”

Then, in December, comes “No Location” featuring Keanu Kai — a heartfelt track born from deep personal reflection.
“It’s the song I wrote that helped me process losing my father in 2020,” Laurance shares. “It’s emotional, more singing than rapping, and probably the most personal song I’ve ever written.”

Looking Ahead

For Laurance, the goal is simple yet powerful: to keep growing their reach and to continue connecting through live performances.
“I’m hoping to share our art and message with as many people as possible,” he says. “The music speaks for itself — we just want to give it the space to be heard.”

With their genre-defying sound, genuine energy, and emotionally charged storytelling, Laurance isn’t just making music — they’re making a movement. And if their trajectory so far is any indication, this Idaho-born group is just getting started.
