From the Eastside of Atlanta, 60way—also known as KB—isn’t just another artist grinding through the noise. He’s a creator built from pain, perseverance, and passion. Representing his brand “KEEP ADDING TO OBTAIN” (Katobanzz), 60way’s music carries the soul of someone who’s lived through trauma and turned it into transformation.
Born in Scottsdale, Georgia, and raised in a household with ten siblings, 60way’s journey has never been about shortcuts or instant fame. It’s been about consistency, belief, and a deep drive to do something bigger—for his family, for his community, and for the friend he lost too soon.
A Dream Sparked by Pain
60way started making music young, his inspiration drawn from various genres that helped him develop a sound that’s versatile and emotionally charged. But everything changed during his middle school years when tragedy struck—his best friend, someone he made beats with before and after school, was killed by gun violence. That moment marked a turning point. Instead of letting grief consume him, 60way transformed it into purpose.
That loss fueled his grind. The bond they shared over music became a legacy 60way vowed to honor. “Carrying his energy through every verse, every beat, every track—I knew I couldn’t quit,” he reflects. “He believed in the music as much as I did.”
Making Noise on His Own Terms
60way’s first official single, “Meditate,” dropped in 2018 and instantly caught attention, pulling in 6,000 views and kicking off a journey of steady growth. His blend of raw lyrics, grounded in real-life experience, paired with melodic versatility, allowed him to carve a space for himself.
By 2022, he was racking up over 65,000 streams from his mixtapes. But one of his most viral moments came with “If Anything,” a track featuring renowned content creator Avery B, which exploded with over 130,000 views on YouTube.
These moments weren’t just numbers—they were proof that the hard work, sacrifice, and belief were starting to pay off.
Hustling with Heart
One of the biggest challenges 60way faced was balancing his music dream with the responsibilities of a massive household. “There were times when affording studio time or paying for videos felt impossible,” he says. “But I knew if I kept pushing—kept adding—I’d get there.”
It’s that mindset that gave life to his brand name: KEEP ADDING TO OBTAIN. For 60way, the hustle isn’t just a means to an end—it’s the fuel that keeps the mission alive.
Eyes on the Bigger Stage
Looking ahead, 60way doesn’t just see himself topping charts. He sees himself onstage, moving crowds, spreading messages of hope, and shifting mindsets. “I want to change the way the youth see themselves. I want people to hear my story and believe they can make it, too. Even if the odds are stacked, even if you’ve lost people or come from nothing—it’s possible.”
Though he hasn’t announced a specific date, fans can expect new music dropping soon. An upcoming project is on the horizon, and if past releases are any indication, it’ll be both hard-hitting and heartfelt—an extension of the journey that’s gotten him here.
Keep Watching, Keep Listening
With no major label machine behind him, 60way has built his presence through authenticity, grassroots support, and unshakable vision. He’s more than a rapper—he’s a voice of perseverance and proof that dedication can outshine circumstance.
As 60way continues to build on his catalog and expand his reach, one thing’s clear: this is just the beginning. From Eastside Atlanta to the global stage, he’s not slowing down. He’s just adding more.
