Some artists pick a stage name. Others decide their name already carries enough weight on its own. Julia Krasinski falls into that second category. Her name is her identity, her brand, and the beginning of a journey she has no plans of slowing down. And no, despite what people love to ask, she is not related to John Krasinski. She jokes about it, but it is clear she is building a path that is entirely her own.

Julia comes from Freeland, a small Michigan town that helped shape who she is. Before she lived there, she spent her early childhood in East Tawas where some of her most cherished memories were born. She remembers sitting in her cousin André’s room, listening to Black Veil Brides while he and his friends played Call of Duty on the Xbox. To her, those moments were everything. The energy, the music, the attitude. Watching her cousin play in a rock band made her believe that music was not just something other people did. It was something she could do too.

Julia has loved music for as long as she can remember, but she officially started making her own about a year and a half ago. The turning point was anything but pleasant. A breakup with an abusive ex pushed her into the studio, where she turned heartbreak into fuel. That pain became her debut single, titled Bastard, which dropped in May of 2025. It is raw, vulnerable, emotional, and real. Fans connected to it instantly, and Julia felt something she had been chasing her entire life. For the first time, her voice had a world to live in.

Her desire to be an artist goes back even further than that relationship. In seventh grade she sang In The End by Black Veil Brides in a talent show. That performance lit a fuse inside her. She left the stage knowing exactly what she wanted her future to look like. Unfortunately, kids are not always kind. She faced bullying afterward and stepped away from singing for a long time. She remembers a girl approaching her at a homecoming football game asking if she was the, as quoted, weirdo who sang in the talent show. Julia responded the way most people wish they had the courage to. She said, fuck yea I am. The girl backed off, surprised at her confidence. Moments like that could have destroyed her passion, but instead, they helped build the fire she carries today.

Julia’s music sits in a world of alternative, alternative rock, rock and roll, and heavy rock influences. She is currently sharpening her voice to eventually create heavy metal music. She might not play any instruments yet, unless you count her vocal cords, which she absolutely does, but she has plans to pick up a guitar when the time is right.

Her biggest inspirations reflect the emotional and rebellious edge she brings to her songs. Influences like Black Veil Brides, Lilith Czar, Chandler Leighton, Nessa Barrett, Huddy, MGK, YungBlud, jxdn, Leah Kate, and Caroline Carr make it clear where her sonic roots lie. She listens to artists who do not shy away from intensity, vulnerability, or storytelling, and it shows.

So far she has released one single, Bastard, and it means far more to her than a first drop. She did not make it to be hateful or bitter. She made it to say, in her own words, fuck you to the past without needing to point fingers or stay stuck in the pain. She wants her ex to hear it someday, whether it is online, on the radio, on television, or anywhere her career might carry her. The song is not revenge. It is closure. It is her first real step into who she is becoming.

The most memorable moment of her career so far was bringing that single to life. Every layer of it, every lyric, every decision in the studio felt like a new version of herself opening its eyes. She knows perfection takes time, and she refuses to rush future releases until they match the vision in her head.

Julia is currently working on new music, although she refuses to spill too many details. What she will say is simple. New singles are coming. Fans just need to be patient. As far as performances go, she does not have any locked in at the moment. Her team is hunting for the right opportunities, and she plans to hit the stage when it makes sense.

There are artists who make noise, and then there are artists who make impact. Julia Krasinski is building the second kind. With honesty in her storytelling, fire in her voice, and a vision rooted in everything she has survived, she is not running from her past. She is using it as the amplifier.

Keep an eye on her. This is only the beginning.
