Following on from the release of ‘Hold My Skin’ earlier in the year, Jesse Will is back with the release of his latest emotionally-charged anthem ‘Puddles’. Once again showcasing his raw sonic ability, the release comes following a wave of critical acclaim, seeing support from the likes of Clash, Noctis, and Mezmerized. The track is also produced by James Kenosha (Birdy, Rhodes), and is Jesse’s best work to date.

Bringing a tender spirit to the atmospheric single, the track kicks off with Jesse’s signature vocal, effortlessly commanding the track with a sense of authenticity and emotional prowess. Coupling together a simple, though poignantly dramatic, piano line with masterfully thought-out lyricism, ‘Puddles’ wastes no time cementing itself as a cinematic, heart-wrenching anthem. Navigating the scars of recovery and the self-discovery that it comes with, the track’s thunderous backbone reinforces the tender nature of Jesse’s songwriting.

Speaking about the single, he dives in, “Puddles is about surrendering and accepting impermanence. It explores recovery and the resilience that trauma leaves us with. I was inspired by the life cycle of water, how water is evaporated, and eventually returns to where it was, yet somehow purified from the experience.”

Jesse Will has been on a steady rise after going viral when his soulful rendition of ‘Shake It Off’ was shared by Taylor Swift. The New Zealand songwriter’s voice and lyrical style own a sensitivity which have drawn comparisons to the likes of Damien Rice and Jeff Buckley. Jesse has since been playlisted in Starbucks cafes worldwide and garnered praise from Billboard, the Evening Standard, and the Daily Mail, among others. Based in London, Jesse is preparing for a third studio release, due later this year.
