With swelling synths and reverb-driven melodies bringing the track to centre stage, ‘Voices in the Mirror’ shows Jason Bembry in a new light. Making a shift in sound compared to his summer releases, the new single is Bembry’s most personal offering to date, switching from floor-filling dance tracks to hard-hitting, poignant lyricism.
“It’s no coincidence that ‘Voices in the Mirror’ was released right before my birthday. This is my most personal song so far, and it’s all my inner thoughts. It’s not meant to be scary or upsetting. We all watch our faces slowly age when we look in the mirror. Eventually, our minds catch up to our eyes and we think, ‘Wow. I’m getting older.’ That sudden acknowledgement and acceptance is the real premise of this song.”
Twenty-nine-year-old Jason Bembry is a singer-songwriter who hails from New Jersey, USA. Lacing his sound with an introspective blend of pop and rock, built upon his vast creative foundation. Filling his sound with a sense of emotional exploration, Jason is a classically trained pianist who studied music theory and composition.
