Some people chase their dreams in their 20s, others push them aside for “real life”—and then there’s Noah Grant. By day, he’s a full-time working dad. By night (and on every stage he can find), he’s the driving force behind GRANT the band, a Long Island-based rock outfit that blends high-energy live performances with emotionally charged songwriting.
For Noah, music isn’t just a passion—it’s part of his DNA.
Finding His Voice (Literally)
Growing up in a family of musicians, Noah started as a drummer. But it wasn’t until a spontaneous summer jam session with his brother that he discovered something unexpected—his voice. Singing a Dave Matthews Band song, something just clicked. A few chords, a first guitar, and years of songwriting later, he was hooked.
Fast forward to 2022: after years of writing, playing, and performing, Noah finally turned his longtime dream into reality, forming GRANT the band—a project fueled by raw energy, musical versatility, and a shared love for good music.
A Sound That Hits Different
GRANT the band isn’t here to fit neatly into a box. Their sound pulls from a mix of Dave Matthews Band, Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Pearl Jam, and Billy Joel, blending storytelling with stadium-ready energy. Their live sets? A mix of electrifying originals and crowd-favorite covers—with a twist.
“If we cover a song, we don’t just play it note-for-note,” Noah explains. “We make it ours. Whether it’s changing up the arrangement or mashing it with another track, we want to keep the crowd on their toes.”
Balancing Passion with Reality
Of course, leading a band isn’t Noah’s only gig. Juggling a full-time job, fatherhood, and a growing music career is no easy feat. But for him, it’s non-negotiable.
“Leaving your passion on the back burner can leave you feeling unfulfilled,” he says. “If there’s something you love to do, don’t sleep on it. Adjust your lifestyle, ask for support, and make time.”
What’s Next for GRANT the band?
With multiple tracks already on Spotify, more music in the works, and a growing fan base, GRANT the band is quickly carving out a name for themselves in Long Island’s live music scene. Their goal? Play bigger venues, connect with more fans, and keep making music that resonates.
But no matter how far they go, one thing stays the same: the music will always come from the heart.
