GBA Dicey is an artist whose relationship with music started long before microphones and studios. Born and raised in Mississippi his journey began as a kid tapping pencils on tables and walls at just seven years old. By age ten he was sharpening his bars and learning how rhythm emotion and words could move together.
His first recordings came early. Around ages eleven and twelve he started recording music on Rapchat. At fourteen he moved to Voloco. By fifteen he was recording on BandLab with nothing more than earbuds and determination. Each stage marked growth not just in sound but in confidence and vision. Since then he has continued evolving pushing past limitations and refining his craft.
Music has always been the dream. As a child GBA Dicey was drawn to music videos the sounds the energy and the emotion behind them. Growing up through struggle pain and heartbreak only deepened that connection. Music became both an escape and a way to process real life experiences.
While he started in contemporary Hip Hop and Rap his sound did not stay boxed in. Over time he gravitated toward experimental styles rock influences and genre blending. That evolution reflects who he is as a person constantly changing learning and expressing different sides of himself.
GBA Dicey also brings musical experience into his work having played guitar for two years. That background adds texture to his creative approach even when he is experimenting vocally or structurally.
His biggest influences come from versatile artists known for emotional range and honesty including YoungBoy Never Broke Again Drake Young Thug Rich Homie Quan and Lil Durk. Their ability to shift moods and express different emotions across songs heavily influenced his artistic direction.
The journey has not been smooth but it has been meaningful. GBA Dicey has accumulated over eighty thousand streams across platforms and has been seen by and worked with multiple well known artists and producers. Each experience added perspective and motivation to keep going.
His discography reflects growth and honesty. He released one album titled Striving From Heartbreaks and two EPs Baby Im A Manic and Bring Out Da Snakes.
Striving From Heartbreaks represents the idea that moments that break you can also make you. During its creation GBA Dicey felt a deeper connection to both his lyrics and the beats while experimenting with new sounds flows and writing styles for future work.
