Jahkidd: I think my music is relatable because I’m not afraid to speak my truth. I’m not sugarcoating anything or trying to fit into a mold. I’m just being real, and people can feel that. My music is a reflection of my experiences, my thoughts, and my emotions. I’m just trying to share my story and hope that it resonates with others.
Exposing the Truth and Challenging the Status Quo
Rolling Hype Magazine: Your music often touches on themes of social justice and exposes the harsh realities of the world and the music industry. Can you tell us more about what drives your desire to speak truth to power?
Jahkidd: I’m just tired of seeing people being manipulated and controlled by the system. I’m tired of seeing celebrities being worshipped like gods despite their questionable actions. I want to use my platform to expose the truth and challenge the status quo. I want to inspire people to think for themselves and not just blindly follow what they’re being fed.
Independent Success and New Music
Rolling Hype Magazine: As an independent artist, you’ve achieved remarkable success without the backing of a major label. What advice would you give to other independent artists looking to make a name for themselves in the industry?
Jahkidd: My advice would be to stay true to yourself and your art. Don’t compromise your values or integrity for the sake of success. Surround yourself with a good team, and be willing to put in the hard work and dedication required to make it in this industry.
