Following on from a busy 2024, Dilan Skies is back with his latest teaser single ‘HABITS’. Gearing up for a big year, he looks set to release his emphatic debut album.

A steady, indie-tinged beat brings ‘HABITS’ to life as it glides across the soundwaves. Incorporating an alluring synth licks, and an atmospheric rise, the single mixes colourful harmonies and groove-laden bass lines to give the track a euphoric backbone. Influenced by the sticky sensibilities of modern pop music, as well as the effortless finesse of R&B, ‘HABITS’ looks set to further cement Dilan as a fast-rising young talent.

The single is the first teaser to be released from his forthcoming debut album. Speaking about the project, Dilan comments, “I wanted to create my debut album as a way to introduce the world to DILAN SKIES. I’ve named the album “TO BE SEEN” because that’s exactly why I wanted to release an album. The project focuses on exactly that & has multiple definitions: Being seen as an independent artist in a competitive industry, being seen as a south asian artist in an industry where we are rarely visible & a lot of the songs also centre around the effects of being seen & not seen in a relationship.”

Dilan Skies is a British-Indian singer-songwriter and producer, who hails from London. With music taking up a big part of his life from a young age, Dilan released his talents as a teenager before hiding away in his bedroom, honing his creative crafts. At 18, Dilan started working with artist Edgar Sandoval Jr after he heard a demo of one of Skies’ early songs. Moving from strength to strength, he debuted in 2020 and has since built up a colourful back catalogue, taking influence from the likes of pop and R&B. Gaining backing from BBC Introducing, Dilan Skies looks forward to 2025 with the release of his forthcoming debut album.
