Ontario Shavar Hall, better known as Boozilla Tha Fool, is making waves in the music industry with his unique blend of soul, hip-hop, pop-rock, and R&B. Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, and now residing in Ashburn, Georgia, Boozilla’s journey into music started at just five years old, inspired by his cousin, who embodied a soulful mix of David Ruffin, Little Richard, and Keith Sweat.
Despite being around music from a young age, Boozilla didn’t take it seriously until he was 16, when he created a song with his late best friend, Foolio Que, that quickly gained popularity at school. The artist’s stage name, Boozilla Tha Fool, is a heartfelt tribute to Foolio Que, who was on the brink of signing a major deal before his untimely passing during a police chase in 2022.
From Setbacks to Comebacks
Boozilla’s career has seen its share of challenges. After serving eight months in jail in 2023, he bounced back stronger than ever. Before his incarceration, he was in talks with major industry players like Fat Joe and Terror Squad, even appearing on FaceTime with the legendary rapper three times. Bellmark Records and Dream Chasers Records (Meek Mill’s label) have since extended offers, with figures ranging from $1 million to $3 million. Despite these opportunities, Boozilla remains unsigned, choosing to navigate the industry independently under Badallic Records.
A Versatile Artist With Global Reach
Boozilla’s musical versatility has helped him gain traction across genres and continents. From going viral in London with Skunk Radio Live to radio spins on Hot 97 (New York), 92.3 (Los Angeles), and 98.7 (Las Vegas), his music has found fans worldwide. His unique “woo” ad-lib, inspired by Lil B, has become a defining element of his sound, further solidifying his place as a creative force.
The artist has opened for notable acts like Lil Reese, Kirko Bangz, Famous Dex, and SleazyWorld Go. Additionally, he’s caught the attention of influential figures like Zaytoven, who welcomed him to #TeamZaytoven, and Booman, with whom sit-downs have been planned since last year.
Collaborations, Inspirations, and Opportunities
Boozilla credits his influences to artists like Lil B, whose message of positivity and individuality resonates deeply with him. “Lil B texted me a year ago and said, ‘Let’s work. I love you, Boo,’” he recalls. “That moment meant everything to me because he’s my idol.”
The artist has also been in touch with names like NBA Lil Yella, Duke Deuce, Rocky Badd, and more, with collaboration opportunities consistently on the horizon. He’s even lined up a podcast appearance with DJ Whoo Kid and an On The Radar session to further solidify his rising profile.
Future Goals and Passion for Poetry
Much like Tupac, Boozilla is passionate about poetry, using his lyrics to tell stories and connect with listeners on a deeper level. “I see music as an extension of poetry. It’s about capturing emotions and experiences,” he explains.
With distribution opportunities from Empire and BerlinMusicGroup in the works, Boozilla is focused on scaling his artistry and reaching new heights in 2025. Despite his growing buzz, he remains grounded and committed to his craft, pouring his life experiences into every track.
