Some artists make music, and some artists become music. BleuMoon, a rising singer-songwriter from Kingston, Georgia, falls into the latter category. With a heart full of stories and a voice that carries raw emotion, BleuMoon isn’t just creating songs—he’s crafting experiences.
From Theater to Songwriting: The Evolution of an Artist
Music has always been part of BleuMoon’s world, but his love for songwriting took flight thanks to a powerful inspiration: Ben Platt. “He’s an excellent and talented artist and vocalist,” BleuMoon shares. “I strive to be like him one day.” That passion led him to hone his craft, spending six years refining his songwriting and four years immersing himself in the music industry.
Before stepping into the world of songwriting, BleuMoon made a name for himself in community theater, starring in over 15 productions. His standout roles include playing Damien in Mean Girls and Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. While theater gave him confidence on stage, music gave him something deeper—a way to express his personal journey in an unfiltered, authentic way.
The Unexpected Jazz Stand-In
One of the defining moments of BleuMoon’s artistic journey happened completely by accident. At just 16, he found himself at a local music event where a jazz band was missing its lead singer. A family friend volunteered him without warning.
“Don’t you know any songs?” the bandleader asked.
“I know of one,” BleuMoon replied, unsure of what would happen next.
“Close enough. You’ve got rhythm. Get behind the mic.”
Terrified but determined, he took the stage, relying on instinct rather than training. As the music swelled, he let himself feel the rhythm, moving chaotically but with passion. The audience started tapping their feet, then nodding, then cheering. The energy was electric.
Later that night, a band member leaned in and joked, “You should’ve told us you’ve never done this before—we’d have lowered our expectations!” But for BleuMoon, that night was more than a performance—it was proof that music is about energy, connection, and daring to try.
Turning Challenges Into Strengths
BleuMoon’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. He’s navigated life with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. But instead of letting these define him, he’s found ways to turn them into strengths. Through cognitive behavioral therapy, personalized support, and medication, he’s learned to embrace his unique perspective—one that deeply influences his songwriting.
“What makes me different from other artists is my unique perspective on life and music,” he says. “I write about my life experiences and emotions in a way that’s deeply personal.”
Dreaming of the Big Stage
For BleuMoon, music is more than just a creative outlet—it’s a calling. His ultimate dream? Performing in front of a crowd of 1,000 people, feeling the collective energy of an audience that connects with his music. He’s already making strides, building a growing online presence through platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
With his signature line, “Tell me where do we go from here, ‘cause the sun will always shine,” BleuMoon reminds his listeners that no matter where life takes them, there’s always light ahead. His story is proof that chasing dreams isn’t about being fearless—it’s about moving forward despite fear, with passion as the guiding force.
So, where does BleuMoon go from here? Straight to the top.
