At 61, Bill Pugh walked into Adult Teen Challenge in Ceres, California—not as a performer, but as a man desperate to escape the grip of alcoholism. A year later, he walked out sober, restored, and with a rediscovered gift: music. His new single, “Seasons,” captures that transformation. Written during his time in the program, the track isn’t just a song—it’s a testament to survival, faith, and the healing power of second chances.

Pugh’s story is one of revival. He began writing and performing at 15, but decades of struggle gradually silenced his voice and pulled him away from the craft. At “The Ranch,” music found him again. What had once been a lost pursuit became a channel for gratitude and purpose. “Seasons” reflects that turning point, with lyrics born from his renewed faith and a mission to give glory to God.

Musically, the track sits in the world of Contemporary Country Christian, but its emotional reach extends further. It blends heartfelt storytelling with the warmth of country instrumentation, carried by contributions from Leon Smith on bass, Brandon Fugate on lead guitar, and producer Jeff Coffey, who also added layers of instrumentation and mixing. The result is a song that feels lived-in and deeply personal—less a performance, more a conversation with the soul.

The single also arrives with a visual companion, underscoring Pugh’s journey from loss to restoration. Rather than dramatize, the video emphasizes authenticity, echoing his belief that music should bear witness to change. At its heart, “Seasons” offers listeners a reminder of resilience: that faith and perseverance can restore what once seemed gone forever.

Looking ahead, Pugh has eight more songs ready to share, each written with the same conviction that carried him through recovery. His goal isn’t fame—it’s service. By dedicating his music to supporting Adult Teen Challenge, he hopes to help sustain the very program that gave him a second chance at life.

Now 63 and serving as a staff member at The Ranch, Bill Pugh has become living proof that transformation is always possible. With “Seasons,” he turns his redemption into melody, offering not just a song but a lifeline of hope.

“Seasons” is available to stream on all platforms now.
