Kilo Tae is a rapper you have to be on the lookout for, simply put. His message is evident not only in his lyrics, but his name too; KILO stands for Keep It Loyal Overall. And his loyalty to the rap game is beginning to pay off.
While he’s got a rapidly expanding discography full of heat, one specific track that stands out is “Gift N’ Curse,” which was featured on his Silent Assassin Vol 1 EP.
According to the man himself, the vision behind his release was to highlight all aspects of turning one’s life around, which can feature many ups and downs.
“The vision behind my release was to shine light on the good and bad that comes with building a better life for yourself,” Kilo Tae said. “Life could be a gift and curse at moments.”
The track was produced by South Africa native Issawi, a creator with “an amazing sound,” according to Kilo Tae. Engineering wise, the up and coming rapper enlisted gmbeatz, who helped create “all types of vibes” on Silent Assassin Vol 1.
What’s next for the Baltimore native? Well, he’s relocated to Santa Barbara, California, and is continuing to drop different tracks to “see what the world thinks.”
“Hopefully, I can touch some people and create a larger community around me,” Kilo Tae said. “I also want to focus more on getting some placements, features, acting roles and branding endorsements.”
“I’m definitely looking to level things up,” he added. “So be on the lookout for nothing but heat from me.”
