Raised between Toronto and New York, artist Tash Simone is setting her own frequency in the R&B scene. With roots in 90s R&B, hip hop, dancehall, and reggae, she’s building a sound that bridges eras-nostalgic yet fresh, smooth yet bold.
A true multi-hyphenate, Tash started DJing at just eight years old and released her first self-produced album by fifteen. Inspired by icons like Aaliyah and Timbaland, her music weaves together the emotion of classic R&B with the rhythmic pulse of hip hop. Today she’s a singer, songwriter, producer, rapper, and audio engineer, a rare artist who handles every layer of her sound from start to finish.
Now signed to East Ground Media Group and distributed by Sony Music, Tash has already started making waves. She’s performed live, including at Yonge-Dundas Square, and recently hosted an EP launch party to celebrate her debut project, Frequencies, a project that truly shows her versatility and range.
The standout single “Climax” captures the emotional core of Frequencies, the breaking point in a toxic love story where you stop chasing closure and start giving it to yourself. It’s vulnerable, powerful, and perfectly encapsulates the duality of Tash’s artistry: strength wrapped in softness and emotion grounded in rhythm.
With her vision, versatility, and voice, Tash Simone is one to keep on your radar because the frequency she’s on is only getting louder.
