“Nothing Is The Same” is a deeply introspective track that seamlessly blends elements of rap and R&B to create a dark, melancholic sound. Hailing from Waterloo Region, Ontario, 3VAN has quickly established himself as a standout in the Canadian music scene since his debut in 2022. As an artist, producer, and sound engineer, he crafts emotionally charged compositions within the urban contemporary rap and R&B genres. Drawing inspiration from artists like 6LACK, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Drake, 3VAN’s sound combines moody melodies with the thoughtful, introspective lyricism of rappers like Earl Sweatshirt, Nipsey Hussle, and Kendrick Lamar. His ability to merge commercially appealing production with deeply personal storytelling sets him apart from his peers, creating a sound that is both familiar and fresh.
In 2024, 3VAN truly began to come into his own with the release of “Sounds Of My Testimony, Vol. I.” His growth as an artist was further solidified through collaborations with basketball player-turned-rapper Ant Lee and the guidance of Wolftyla, founder of Studio Starpop, in 2025.
