Ann Watson embodies what it means to live at the intersection of culture, community, and creativity. From a dedicated educator shaping young Black minds to a powerhouse entrepreneur and nonprofit visionary, she continually crafts spaces that keep heritage alive and foster authentic empowerment.
Teaching, Then Transcending
Ann’s journey began in the classroom—years spent nurturing ambition and intellect among her students in Columbia, South Carolina. But retirement didn’t slow her down—it sparked a reinvention. She shifted from shaping young minds to designing a future where culture and purpose could coexist and thrive.
From Housewife to “Self-Made Boss”
As she prepared for her next chapter, retirement prompted foresight, not rest. Rather than relying on traditional savings, Ann bet on herself. In her own words, it was a shift from “Housewife to Self-Made Boss.” That leap birthed Unlimited Choices Greek Boutique Inc., a stylish yet soulful flagship that has thrived nearly three decades—specializing in custom apparel, jewelry, and décor for fraternities, sororities, Masonic Lodges, and the Order of Eastern Star. With every stitch and design, members of the Divine Nine and other organizations have found their culture honored and elevated.
Nonprofit Impact: Giving Back Full Circle
But fashion and legacy weren’t all she had to offer. Ann also founded TRY Approach, a nonprofit devoted to mentoring youth and offering second chances through guidance, reform, and support. In every program she leads, Ann carries forward the same spirit that fueled her teaching career: hope, opportunity, and transformation.
Zeta Sister, Cultural Steward
Ann’s influence isn’t just business—it’s sororal. As a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she enacts the sorority’s pillars—scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood—daily. Zeta’s legacy as a “community-conscious, action-oriented” organization mirrors her life’s work, from community events to empowerment initiatives and mentoring. Her alignment with Zeta continues to drive her cultural impact across generations.
Legacy in Motion
Ann Watson is not slowing down—she’s accelerating. Whether mentoring young Black entrepreneurs, masterminding cultural fashion that speaks legacy, or inviting youth into transformative nonprofit programs, she stands as a living testament that purpose evolves, not ends. Her life’s work is a masterclass in how culture, commerce, and community lift us all.
