At just 22, Angelo Quin is already deep in the game—not just as an artist, but as a producer, engineer, and visionary shaping his own creative universe. Currently based in Los Angeles, the Phoenix native is carving out a space where sound, story, and self-expression collide.
After graduating high school in 2021, Quin didn’t wait around for permission to start. He invested in a laptop and music gear and began teaching himself how to produce. Within a year, he co-founded Lyrical State of Mind, a five-member group where he took the reins on production. But it wasn’t long before his ambition pushed him toward something more personal. In 2024, he launched his solo career with Some Love Tape, a debut project that showcased not just his range, but his ability to craft every layer of a track—from writing to mixing.
“I write, produce, and engineer all my own music,” he says. “My sound blends rap, indie, and alternative influences in a way that’s personal and evolving.”
Now in 2025, Quin has made the leap to L.A., where he’s interning at Broken Complex Studios—home to established names in the hip-hop and underground scenes. The move marks another step in his steady rise, but he’s not new to building something from the ground up. Back in Laveen, Arizona, Quin made noise through intimate garage shows, creating DIY concerts that built real community and gave him a platform to grow his sound.
Some early highlights include performing at the Arizona Hip-Hop Festival, landing a radio feature on La Onda 1190AM, and being interviewed as part of the festival’s spotlight on local talent. These moments laid the foundation for what’s next—and Quin is thinking big.
“My dream is to build a brand that’s not only about music, but about a full artistic experience,” he explains. “I want to win Grammys, score soundtracks, design clothes—create something that moves people in different ways.”
That drive comes with its own challenges. Striking a balance between experimentation and authenticity has been a key focus. Quin draws from a wide pool of inspiration—hip-hop, indie, alternative—but he’s careful not to lose his voice in the process.
“I want my sound to be experimental, but still relatable and true to who I am,” he says.
And it’s working. What separates Quin isn’t just talent—it’s the mindset. He’s not chasing trends or quick hits. He’s building something long-term, a body of work that reflects growth and vision. Whether it’s through intricate production, introspective lyrics, or world-building aesthetics, Angelo Quin is proving he’s more than just another name in the mix.
“I’m not here for the moment,” he says. “I’m here to make a lasting impact.”
