PURCELLVILLE, Va. — ShowtimeTwon has never been interested in standing still.
For the Virginia music artist and entrepreneur, every release is another opportunity to move forward, expand his vision and encourage listeners to do the same. That philosophy is at the heart of his latest project, “Dangerous Jet Status,” an album built around confidence, ambition, preparation and the work required to reach a higher level.
ShowtimeTwon, who is from Purcellville in Loudoun County, had hoped to release the project Aug. 13, his birthday, as part of its August 2026 rollout.
The date carries personal significance, but the message behind the album goes much further.
“Dangerous Jet Status” represents what ShowtimeTwon describes as elevation — not simply achieving success, but becoming mentally and physically prepared for it.
“People should read about me because I’m documenting a real journey in real time,” ShowtimeTwon said. “I’m not telling stories from the finish line — I’m inviting people to watch the climb.”
That climb is becoming the foundation of the ShowtimeTwon brand.
More Than a Rap Name
Music may be where ShowtimeTwon began, but he does not see himself as limited to one lane.
He identifies as a music artist and entrepreneur, with plans to continue expanding into fashion, business and other ventures while developing ShowtimeTwonProductions and his “Certified 2 Fly” brand.
The larger mission is built around encouraging people to pursue their goals with confidence and discipline.
“My story is about growth, vision and believing in yourself before anyone else does,” ShowtimeTwon said. “What I talk about is real and authentic, and it will get you contemplating your own life because it’s true. If you want something that’s different from your circle, you have to change it.”
His music reflects that mindset.
ShowtimeTwon creates records designed to work in multiple environments. They can soundtrack a drive, a workout, a celebration or a night out, but underneath the energy is usually a larger idea.
“What separates me is the energy,” he said. “My records have melody, confidence and replay value, but they also carry purpose.”
That purpose often centers on betting on yourself, separating from distractions and recognizing that meaningful success requires consistency.
“You can get lost in many sounds, and some of them are basic,” ShowtimeTwon said. “I never make basic music. It’s always unique and full of metaphor opportunities for the crowd and for listeners to understand.”
A Flight Check Before Takeoff
The aviation imagery surrounding “Dangerous Jet Status” is intentional.
One of the album’s defining tracks, “Flight Check (Long Way From Home),” uses preparing for takeoff as a metaphor for preparing to succeed.
Before a plane leaves the runway, systems are checked.
ShowtimeTwon believes people should approach their goals the same way.
Mindset matters. Work ethic matters. Discipline matters. The people surrounding you matter.
The song reflects waking up grateful, working when no one is watching and continuing to trust a goal even when the results are not immediately visible.
Three lyrics summarize that mentality:
“Your life is in your hands boy stop waiting. START.”
“Safe to say, I made a way — it had groundwork.”
“I’m a long way from home … I’m living my dream.”
For ShowtimeTwon, those lyrics are autobiographical.
They represent the belief that the public usually sees the destination without seeing everything required to get there.
His goal with “Dangerous Jet Status” is to celebrate the destination without ignoring the preparation.
Confidence People Can See
ShowtimeTwon’s individuality does not stop when the music ends.
His bright red hair and bold fashion choices have become another recognizable part of his identity.
Whether wearing bright colors or brands such as True Religion, Louis Vuitton and Versace, ShowtimeTwon approaches fashion with the same philosophy he brings to his music: Be comfortable standing apart.
“I’ve never been afraid to express myself,” he said.
He said his appearance and energy have helped make him recognizable in public, whether he is walking into a club, restaurant, event or simply moving through a city.
“Many people who see me down the street say, ‘Yooo, it’s Twon,’ or ‘Wassup, Showtime,’” he said.
ShowtimeTwon said supporters have recognized him in areas including Loudoun County and Richmond, Virginia, as well as Orlando, Florida; Atlanta; New York; California; and even internationally in Kenya.
He has also had fans approach him for photographs at carnivals and other public events.
The recognition is meaningful, but ShowtimeTwon says what people do after hearing his music matters more.
Music That Reaches Beyond Entertainment
Some of the responses that have stayed with ShowtimeTwon most did not involve streams, performances or social media numbers.
They involved people telling him his music had helped them personally.
ShowtimeTwon recalled a woman telling him that his album “Rockstar Healing” helped strengthen her relationship with her fiancé at the time.
He also said a listener who had struggled with alcohol addiction for approximately two years told him the music had helped during his recovery.
Those interactions reinforced ShowtimeTwon’s belief that music can influence how someone sees themselves.
“I enjoy seeing the impact that I can make on the community to make people believe in themselves, get over self-doubt and engage or disengage with certain individuals that do not align with their values,” he said.
That message extends to younger listeners as well.
Because many of ShowtimeTwon’s records are high-energy, he said athletes, teenagers and younger fans have connected with them as motivational music.
For him, encouraging another person to move forward is one of the most important parts of the brand he is building.
That attitude also carries into his everyday life.
ShowtimeTwon said he has occasionally encountered people experiencing homelessness while walking or driving through cities and given them $100 to help with food and immediate necessities.
The gesture reflects a broader belief that personal success should create opportunities to help others.
Growing on Bigger Stages
ShowtimeTwon’s career has already taken his music beyond his hometown.
His songs have received exposure on Atlanta radio station WHTA-FM, Hot 107.9, including “Like That,” featuring Zerø, and “Just Wanna Celebrate,” also featuring Zerø.
He has also performed before sizable crowds.
At Loudoun County’s Winterfest, ShowtimeTwon delivered a live performance in front of an audience he said exceeded 1,000 people.
His music later reached an even larger setting at Randolph-Macon College, where it was played during the football team’s stadium entrance in front of more than 5,000 fans.
For an artist focused on creating music that makes people move, hearing that energy inside a stadium offered a glimpse of the scale he hopes to eventually reach consistently.
His music has also been played in clubs throughout Loudoun County and during events connected to North Carolina A&T State University.
During Aggie Fest 2025, “Just Wanna Celebrate,” featuring Zerø, and “Turn My City Up” were among the songs used to energize campus events. His music was also heard during North Carolina A&T’s 2025 Greatest Homecoming on Earth festivities.
Each appearance has contributed to what ShowtimeTwon sees as a larger foundation.
The Independent Climb
The progress has not come without challenges.
Like many independent artists, ShowtimeTwon has had to balance everyday responsibilities with the financial and creative demands of building a music career.
Recording, promotion, branding, travel and content require continued investment, often without any guarantee that results will arrive immediately.
That process has tested his patience.
It has also reinforced the message behind his music.
Rather than allowing slow progress to become discouraging, ShowtimeTwon said he has learned to use those periods as motivation.
Every setback becomes another opportunity to develop discipline.
That is one reason he speaks so frequently about groundwork.
The audience may eventually see a successful release, a packed performance or growing recognition, but the artist knows how much invisible work comes first.
Building Something That Lasts
In the coming years, ShowtimeTwon wants to take his identity from a growing independent brand to a nationally recognized name.
He envisions millions of listeners, expanded business ventures, a larger fashion presence and more opportunities to give back.
But he does not want growth to change the principles behind the movement.
His goal is to show people that ambition and authenticity do not have to exist separately.
Success can come without abandoning values.
Confidence can exist without becoming disconnected from others.
And dreams can become tangible when they are matched by preparation.
“I didn’t get into music for attention — I got into it because it became a way to express my mindset and connect with people,” ShowtimeTwon said.
That connection is ultimately how he wants his career to be measured.
“Dangerous Jet Status” may be designed to sound like a soundtrack for celebration, movement and success, but its core message is about everything that happens before the celebration begins.
It is about preparing yourself for the life you say you want.
It is about doing the groundwork.
It is about starting even when the destination still feels far away.
“At the end of the day, I want people to remember ShowtimeTwon as an artist who made confidence contagious,” he said. “If someone walks away from my music believing in themselves a little more than they did before, then I’ve done exactly what I set out to do.”
For ShowtimeTwon, the album is another milestone, but not a finish line.
“I’m just getting started,” he said. “This is only the beginning of the flight.”
