S.T.F.U CREW is not a group that just decided to make music one day. This started way earlier than studio sessions or releases. Jason and Joey are both born and raised in Philadelphia and they have been writing raps since they were kids. Literally seven years old. At that age they were already focused on rhyme schemes, counting bars, and figuring out how punchlines worked instead of just copying what they heard.
By the time they were twelve, curiosity turned into discipline. They did not just want to rap anymore. They wanted to understand how everything worked. Recording. Engineering. Mixing. Mastering. By sixteen they had taught themselves how to do it all. From writing the music to finishing it completely on their own. Since then it has been about sharpening those skills and taking their craft seriously every step of the way.
Music runs through their bloodline. They grew up surrounded by creativity. Artists. Musicians. People who lived and breathed expression. That environment shaped how they see music today. It is not just a hobby or something to chase clout. It is part of who they are.
S.T.F.U CREW refuses to box themselves into one sound. Their music lives across hip hop, indie pop, alternative pop, cloud rap, and something they created themselves called lucid dreamy. The idea is simple. Why limit creativity when the point of music is expression. Their sound changes because they change. The emotions change. The mindset changes. The vision evolves.
Both members bring real musical ability into the group. Jason plays piano and continues to learn every day while also producing beats. Joey plays acoustic and electric guitar and makes beats as well. That foundation shows up in their music. It feels layered. Intentional. Built instead of thrown together.
Their influences are wide but meaningful. Eminem. 50 Cent. Drake. Meek Mill. Logic. G Eazy. XXXTentacion. Trippie Redd. Lil Uzi Vert. Lil Peep. The Beatles. Green Day. Blink 182. The All American Rejects. Twenty One Pilots. These artists did not just influence their sound. They shaped how Jason and Joey think about music as a whole. Emotion. Honesty. Energy. Vulnerability. All of it matters.
Jason describes the journey as relentless. Not glamorous. Not easy. Just constant work. He learned early that if you genuinely love what you do, you cannot settle. You have to enjoy the process. The highs and the lows. The wins and the losses. Owning your path instead of chasing someone else’s.
Joey sees it as exactly what you make it. He has had moments where quitting felt easier. Moments where doubt crept in. But every time he stepped back, he realized walking away was not what he truly wanted. The journey taught him mental strength, financial awareness, emotional growth, and gave him memories that will last forever. He learned to enjoy the ride instead of rushing to the destination.
Recently, S.T.F.U CREW released an EP titled Lucidity. It is a clear snapshot of who they are. The project shows their versatility, their personality, and their ability to switch between serious lyricism and laid back vibe driven records. It is the kind of project that feels honest. If you have fifteen minutes, it is worth listening to front to back.
One of the biggest moments in their career came in June of 2025 when they opened for G Herbo in their own city. Performing in Philadelphia for one of their favorite artists was surreal. A moment that reminded them why they started and why they keep going.
Right now the focus is not rushing another big project. It is about pushing singles, building the S.T.F.U CREW name, and letting people really get familiar with who they are. More will come when the time is right.
They have multiple singles dropping throughout 2026 and live shows on the way. If you want to keep up with what they are building, the best move is to follow them directly.
