Some artists chase trends. Others invent their own lane and let the world catch up. For otmdroy, a rising artist out of South Jersey, music isn’t just a hobby—it’s a lifeline.
Growing up in band class, music was always in the background for otmdroy. “I got into music when I was young—I used to be in the band,” he says. But everything changed after a personal tragedy. “I started taking music serious after my mom passed on March 7, 2024. That’s when I really locked in. Reading beats, creating, and using music as a way to process my feelings just became something I needed to do.”
That sense of purpose has shaped every track he makes. “I’m an underrated artist with my own sound,” otmdroy explains. “Nobody can say I sound like anybody else—I have my own gift.” That self-assurance is clear in his music, especially in lines that cut close to the bone. When asked about his favorite lyric, he doesn’t hesitate: “At this point I’m at the bottom of my life.”
But otmdroy’s story isn’t about staying at the bottom—it’s about using pain as fuel. “I plan on gaining more love and support through my journey,” he says. “I know I’m going to successfully succeed, and I want to bring people along with me—to show them what’s possible when you keep pushing.”
He’s already making waves with new releases like “Cross the Line,” “2nd Qtr” featuring Shaddi G, and “Blame the Moon.” Each track is another step forward, another chapter in a story that’s only getting started.
Stay tuned—because for otmdroy, this is just the beginning.
